NCC has played
a pioneering role in the development of fire resistant
tunnels by conducting many fire-resistance experiments.
NCC expertise is invaluable in delivering quality control to any
underground construction project. We provide advice during construction
supervision to ensure tunnel quality, including advice on the selection
of shield tunneling machines and appropriate equipment for segment
assembly. We have adopted a state of the art Shield Tunneling Machine
Simulation System under the guidance of Prof. Mitsutaka Sugimoto
of Nagaoka University of Technology. This system enables the behavior
of shield tunneling machines to be predicted so that optimum jack
patterns, thrust, and other parameters can be selected for various
geological conditions and complex alignments to assure the conformity
of the tunneling alignment with plan. |
